German Fourth-Tier Club SSV Ulm Signs Deal With Investor From Abu Dhabi

German fourth-tier football club SSV Ulm "has agreed to a cooperation with an investor from Abu Dhabi," according to Adrian Bohrdt of SPOX. It has been reported that the club "has entered a partnership with player agency MKI Sports Int'l Group." Ulm spokesperson Volkhard Stütz "confirmed that a single-digit million euro amount will go toward the club's youth academy but did not provide any other specific details." MKI Sports Int'l Group is a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi-based MKI Int'l Holding. The agency "confirmed the cooperation on its Facebook page." The Facebook entry said, "The support of the MKI Sports Int'l Group will impact the club athletically as well as its infrastructure. Especially the support of young talented players will be the main focus of the cooperation" (SPOX, 2/17).
