The lawyer of South African Paralympic sprinter OSCAR PISTORIUS, who goes on trial for murder next month, said Wednesday that he "has reached an out of court settlement over a separate 2009 assault charge." Lawyer GARY PRITCHARD said, "It was a confidential settlement. The matter is settled. Both parties served notices of withdrawal of the action on each other and it has been resolved" (AFP, 2/12).
