Marketplace Roundup: FC Inglostadt Signs Early Extension With Shirt Sponsor Audi

Second Bundesliga club FC Ingolstadt "has signed an early contract extension with shirt sponsor Audi." The car brand "will continue its partnership with the club until the end of the '17-18 season." The club said that the deal will also focus on supporting the club's youth teams. Ingolstadt Managing Dir Harald Gärtner said, "Every club is happy about such a strong partner by its side. The early extension confirms our existing work and encourages us to continue our athletic and infrastructural development together" (AUGSBURGER ALLGEMEINE, 2/11). ... Japanese brand Fujitsu has signed a commercial deal with Serie A side AC Milan (AC Milan). ... F1 team Williams announced a new multi-year partnership agreement with global lifestyle protection insurer Genworth. The partnership will see the Genworth logo appear on the rear wing endplate of the Williams Mercedes FW36, the overalls worn by each driver and the kit worn by team personnel from the '14 season onward (Williams). ... Asteron Life, one of Australia's leading life insurance providers and part of the Suncorp Group, has been named official naming-rights partner for the Australian conference of the Super Rugby season (Australian Rugby Union). ... Al Tayer Motors continued its long-time support of horse racing in the UAE "by sponsoring Thursday’s big race Dubai World Cup Carnival card, which showcase three Group 3 races." Among them are the $250,000 UAE 2000 Guineas, the $200,000 Firebreak Stakes and the $200,000 Al Shindagha Sprint (GULF NEWS, 2/12).
