Spanish journalist SIRO LÓPEZ has left Spanish TV channel Atresmedia’s “El Chiringuito de Jugones” (“Hardcore Bar“) program to sign with Mediaset’s “Tiki Taka.” In addition to his role as a panelist on “Tiki Taka,” López will also announce this year’s FIBA World Cup, whose broadcast rights belong to Mediaset (LIBERTAD DIGITAL, 2/11). ... Scottish F1 Driver PAUL DI RESTA and his former manager, ANTHONY HAMILTON, "have agreed to an out-of-court settlement as a resolution to their bitter legal feud." Di Resta sacked Hamilton as his manager in '12 "following a dispute over an apparently lucrative sponsorship deal with energy drinks company Go Fast." In return, "Hamilton sued Di Resta for breach of contract and loss of earnings, resulting in an acrimonious High Court hearing in December" (SCOTSMAN, 2/11). ... Cricketer KEVIN PIETERSEN could be at the center of a "bidding war that makes him the most expensive player in Indian Premier League auction history." The 33-year-old is "available for the entire tournament for the first time after being sacked by England." IPL Kings X1 Punjab Head of Cricket Operations ANANT SARKARIA: "He is such an awesome player that every franchise would like to have him" (BBC, 2/11).
