Top Spanish Divisions' Combined Attendance Up From '12-13 Despite Slight Dip For La Liga

The Spanish Football League (LFP) announced on Tuesday that as of the 23rd and 25th match days in La Liga and the Spanish second division, respectively, attendance for the ’13-14 season has increased by 223,681 spectators from a year ago. La Liga has seen stadium attendance drop by .47%, and the overall increase is due to greater turnout for second division matches. A total of 7.6 million fans have attended games in Spain’s top two divisions this season, up from 7.4 in ’12 and 7.6 in ’11 (LFP).
