League Championship side Birmingham City Chair and major shareholder CARSON YEUNG, who is awaiting the verdict following his trial for alleged money laundering in Hong Kong, "has resigned as a director of the club" and its parent company, Birmingham Int'l Holdings Ltd. (London GUARDIAN, 2/4). ... Former Pakistan captain AAMIR SOHAIL was Tuesday "appointed chief selector of the national cricket team and also tasked with developing the game in the country." Sohail "will act as the head of a four-man selection panel besides being the director of game development." The director role "encompasses everything from grassroots to first-class cricket" (AFP, 2/4). ... IOC Exec Board Member CLAUDIA BOKEL "has retained her seat" after being re-elected. Four-time U.S. ice hockey Medalist ANGELA RUGGIERO "was elected as vice chair of the athletes' commission" (AP, 2/4). ... WALTER BÖHM joined the Kentaro Group as global head of media distribution. Böhm is the latest addition to Kentaro's reshuffled senior management team after the recent recapitalization and will take over responsibilities from LASSE ECKARTSBERG, who will leave Kentaro at the end of the month (Kentaro Group). ... Former Super League side Wigan Warriors coach MICHAEL MAGUIRE "has ended speculation over his future by signing a new contract that will keep him at South Sydney" until the end of the '17 season (PA, 2/4). ... Bristol Sport Ltd. has appointed ANDREW BILLINGHAM as its new CEO. Billingham joins BSL from EPL side Stoke City, where he has been in charge of commercial affairs for the last six years, overseeing its transition from the Championship to the top flight. He will assume his new position on June 1 (Bristol City FC). ... The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India on Monday announced J. PRITHVIRAJ as the new president, while TUTU DHAWAN will be the VP (PTI, 2/3).
