Khost Cricket Stadium Construction Begins With Help Of Donation From German Government

The construction of a cricket stadium with the capacity of 30,000 was "inaugurated on Thursday" in Afghanistan's southeastern Khost province, according to Mohammad Haroon of PAJHWOK AFGHAN NEWS. Khost Governor Abdul Jabar Naeemi laid the foundation stone of the stadium and said that the $1.3M donation for construction of the huge project "was extended by the government of Germany." The governor said that "construction work would be completed within two years" (PAJHWOK AFGHAN NEWS, 1/23).
