Marketplace Roundup: EA SPORTS Partners With Professional Game Match Officials Ltd.

Electronic Arts has signed a long-term agreement with Professional Game Match Officials Ltd. that will see EA SPORTS become the new principal partner for PGMOL up until the end of the '18-19 season. Under the deal, EA's logo will appear on the referee's jerseys (Premier League). ... Bundesliga club Hamburg SV has extended its partnership with IT service provider QSC. As the club's official IT partner, QSC will install a WLAN system for up to 10,000 spectators at the Imtech Arena. In addition, QSC will remain a partner of charity organization Hamburger Weg until the end of the '15-16 season (HSV). ... Former Welsh int'l footballer Robbie Savage "will be a roaming reporter at the Brazil 2014 World Cup for online sports retailer Kitbag.com after extending a brand partnership." Savage first signed a 12-month contract with the brand in Dec. 2012 and the partnership "will be extended for another 12 months." Savage "will take part in PR and social media campaigns as well as events for Kitbag customers" (THE DRUM, 1/20). ... League One club Coventry City has agreed to a one-off shirt sponsorship deal with online betting firm 12BET for the FA Cup tie with Arsenal. The Sky Blues completed the deal with the company this week and it will see the firm’s logo on the front of City’s away kit as they take on the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on Jan. 24 (Coventry City). ... CSM Sport & Entertainment announced that Sportseen will partner with Pitch Int'l in a move which will enhance and extend Sportseen’s position both domestically and internationally. The move combines the knowledge and expertise of Sportseen -- a specialist sales organization which maximizes advertising, sponsorship and commercial opportunities at major televised sporting events, with those of leading rights agency Pitch Int'l, which specializes in media rights, sponsorship and event management (CSM).
