Event Notes: Nordic Olympic Athletes To Compete In 'Combined Triple' With $136K Purse

Three weeks ahead of the start of the Sochi Winter Games, Nordic combined athletes "will compete in the first ever 'Nordic Combined Triple,' which will take place from Friday until Sunday." The triple, which consists of three competitions on three days, "will have double World Cup points" and a total prize value of €100,000 ($136,000) (KURIER, 1/15). ... The Professional Squash Association announced that the 2014 Men's World Squash Championship will be held in Qatar from Nov. 14-21. It will be the fourth time the Middle Eastern nation has hosted the event (World Squash Federation).
