Marketplace Roundup: Seiko Signs Three-Year Deal With Novak Djokovic

Seiko has inked a three-year deal with tennis player Novak Djokovic to become a global ambassador for the watch brand (Seiko). ... Second Bundesliga club VfL Bochum "has signed an early contract extension for its kit supply deal with Nike, which will now run until '18." Nike has been a partner of the club since the '11-12 season. The kit deal includes game and practice kits as well as casual sportswear for the club's pro team, youth teams, girls' and women's teams (RUHR NACHRICHTEN, 1/13). ... Second Bundesliga club Fortuna Dusseldorf has extended its partnership with utility company Statdtwerke Dusseldorf until '18 (Fortuna Dusseldorf). ... The German Tennis Federation (DTB) "has signed a new equipment supply deal with Erima." The sportswear company "will provide all DTB teams with its products for the next three years." DTB President Karl Altenburg said, "It's an important step in our efforts to strengthen and align the federation in a more efficient way" (SID, 1/13). ... Bundesliga club FC Nuremberg has extended its exclusive partnership with state-owned lottery Lotto Bayern through the end of the '14-15 season. The deal was brokered by sports marketing agency SPORTFIVE (FC Nuremberg). ... The Nigerian Football Federation on Friday signed a partnership with online travel agency wakanow.com as the official exclusive travel partner of the NFF for the 2014 World Cup. Wakanow.com is officially licensed to arrange travel, accommodation and other logistics for the Super Eagles, their families, NFF officials, supporters of the Eagles and Nigerian fans set to go to Brazil (Wakanow.com). ... Natural energy supplements provider Co-E1 NADH announced 400m hurdler Shevon Stoddart as its newest brand ambassador. Stoddart was a member of both the 2004 and 2008 Jamaican Olympic Teams and also competed at the 2005 IAAF World Championships (Co-E1 NADH).
