MP & Silva Agrees To Six-Year Deal With F1 For MENA, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland

MP & Silva and F1 have announced a six-year agreement that begins with the '14 championship. The agreement provides MP & Silva with exclusive media rights to all F1 Grand Prix races, qualifying and practice sessions on all platforms and devices for the territories of Middle East, North Africa, Bulgaria, Romania and Poland. The deal will cover MENA, Poland and Romania from '14-19 and will cover Bulgaria from '15-19 (MP & Silva). REUTERS reported the deal is "a boost for the sport after Sebastian Vettel's domination led to criticism that it had become boring for viewers." The sport "retained a very strong appeal and Middle East interest had been fuelled by races in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain." MP & Silva COO Peter Hutton said, "We've taken a long term position with the sport" (REUTERS, 12/20).
