Rangers Investor Sandy Easdale Increases Club Voting Rights To 26.62%

A statement issued to the London Stock Exchange on Scottish League 1 Rangers investor Sandy Easdale "has increased his voting rights" in the club to 26.62%, according to the Scotland DAILY RECORD. Easdale, whose brother, James, is on the "current Rangers board, has acquired voting rights" over a further 3.1% of Rangers shares. Beaufort Securities, which holds just more than two million shares, assigned Easdale their "proxy vote ahead of next week's AGM." The move "strengthens the current board's grip on power at Ibrox and comes ahead of next Thursday's crucial meeting in which a group of four rebels hope to be voted onto the Ibrox board" (DAILY RECORD, 12/10).
