MLS D.C. United, Serie A Inter Milan Announce Strategic Partnership

Just weeks after Major League Soccer D.C. United co-Owner Erick Thohir took over Serie A Inter Milan, the clubs have announced a collaborative agreement to form a strategic partnership. The partnership will include sharing of team, organizational and competitive best practices, subject to relevant rules and regulations of the appropriate governing bodies. Thohir assumed control of Inter Milan on Nov. 15. He became a co-owner of D.C. United in July '12. Other MLS owners who own other clubs are Colorado Rapids Owner Stan Kroenke (Arsenal), Chivas USA's Jorge Vergara and Anjelica Fuentes (Mexico's Chivas Guadalajara), L.A. Galaxy owners Anschutz Entertainment Group (Swedish side Hammarby), NYCFC co-owners Man City and Red Bull (Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, among others) (MLS).
