German Regional Public Broadcaster BR To Increase Coverage Of German Hockey League

German regional public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk "will increase its coverage of the German Hockey League (DEL)," according to Alexander Krei of DWDL. BR's "Blickpunkt Sport" show, which airs Saturday nights, will from now on report about all Friday night games of the five Bavarian clubs in the DEL. BR Sport Program Dir Werner Rabe said, "The BR, together with a lot of hockey fans, looks forward to offer this new service and to better honor the strong Bavarian DEL performance." DEL CEO Gernot Tripcke "was also very satisfied." He said, "It's a great signal of BR. We are happy that the public broadcasters continue to push their hockey coverage also on a regional basis" (DWDL, 11/18).
