Cricket Australia Unveils Completely New $27M Training Center In Brisbane

Cricket Australia has opened its new A$29M ($27M) National Cricket Centre located at Allan Border Field in Brisbane. The center features indoor and outdoor training facilities (CA). In Brisbane, Phil Lutton wrote "planted at selected points throughout the new National Cricket Centre were some of Cricket Australia's finest offerings, casually making use of the whiz-bang" now at their disposal. Lutton wrote, "Oh look! Is that Usman Khawaja doing a few chin ups? And if it isn't James Pattinson working his quads." Groups of invited guests, officials and media "could see a bare-chested Ryan Harris dotted with probes, which would then provide a real-time 3D video of his bowling technique." This "was the future vision of Australian cricket laid bare, an addition to the national framework that will give elite talent every opportunity to take their games to the next level" (BRISBANE TIMES, 11/12).
