Scottish Rangers Manager Ally McCoist 'Impressed' With New Rangers Chair

Scottish League 1 Rangers Manager Ally McCoist is confident new Rangers Chair David Somers "knows what he has got himself into after a constructive first meeting yesterday," according to Euan McLean of the Scotland DAILY RECORD. McCoist came "face to face with the new Ibrox figurehead whose controversial arrival has been met with bemusement by Jim McColl’s rebel shareholders." Fans again "protested outside the stadium" before Saturday’s 2-0 win over Airdrie, "demanding the current board resign." McCoist, however, was impressed in his "brief first meeting with the new chairman and believes Somers knows the challenges the club faces in its state of turmoil." McCoist: "He is very aware of what the club needs and how he sees it moving forward. He has a few appointments in mind he will be making in the near future" (DAILY RECORD, 11/10).
