Real Madrid Signs Agreement With China For Football To Be Taught In State Schools

Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez signed an agreement Friday in Beijing with "the Chinese government to set up the School Soccer Master Plan for China, which has as its aim the creation of football as a subject to be studied in Chinese state schools," according to Hugo Cerezo of MARCA. Pérez was accompanied by Real Madrid GM José Angel Sánchez and foundation managing director Julio González Ronco. Pérez: "Neither a ball nor football recognize frontiers. Real Madrid is a universal entity and fully aware that we have to respond to the affection and regard we receive from anywhere in the world" (MARCA, 11/2).
