NBA, Sky Italia Extend Deal As Channel Becomes Italy's Exclusive NBA Partner

The NBA and Sky Italia announced an extension of their multi-year TV partnership that dates back to '95. The agreement makes Sky Italia the league's exclusive TV partner for NBA games in Italy for the first time, and includes increased NBA games and programming across the Sky Italia network. Sky Italia will televise as many as four NBA games each week during the '13-14 regular season, up to five games per week during the playoffs and the entire NBA Finals. The programming will also include the All-Star Game, games on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Jan. 20) that will air in primetime in Italy, the NBA Draft and a bi-weekly NBA show on Sky Sport 24. The partnership tipped off with Tuesday's Chicago Bulls-Miami Heat game (NBA).
