Bayern Munich's Champions League Victory On Wednesday Draws High Ratings On ZDF

German public broadcaster ZDF "recorded high ratings for its broadcast of Wednesday's Champions League game between Bayern Munich and FC Viktoria Plzeň," according to Fabian Riedner of QUOTENMETER. A total of 7.79 million viewers tuned in to watch Bayern's 5-0 win. The game, which started at 8:45pm German time, obtained a market share of 26%. In the target demographic, ZDF attracted 2.36 million viewers to its broadcast. The number equaled a 20.4% market share. The pregame, in-game and post-game coverage was watched by 5.35 million viewers and had a 20.7% share. In the target demographic, the coverage surrounding the game obtained a 16.1% market share (QUOTENMETER, 10/24).

UPCOMING GAMES: QUOTENMETER's Manuel Weis reported ZDF "has revealed the schedule of its upcoming Champions League broadcasts." On the fifth group stage's matchday on Nov. 27, the channel "will show the game between Bayer Leverkusen and ManU." In addition, ZDF announced that "it will air the game between Borussia Dortmund and FC Arsenal on Nov. 6" (QUOTENMETER, 10/24).
