Barcelona Announces Kids To Have Free Access To Matches, With Certain Exceptions

Barcelona on Wednesday announced its project to "continue allowing children into the Camp Nou for free, thereby ending the controversy surrounding the board’s decision that put an end to the tradition of allowing the children and grandchildren of members into the ground without a ticket," according to MARCA. Children will be allowed to "do so in every game of the season except league matches against Real Madrid and Atlético," the Champions League quarterfinals and semifinals, or the Spanish Cup and Spanish Super Cup semifinals (MARCA, 10/24). MARCA reported in a separate piece that for earlier games, at noon, 4pm or 6m, Barcelona will offer youth tickets, but set a limit of 3,000. If "there are more than 3,000 requests for youth tickets, the club will hold a draw among those requesting tickets" (MARCA, 10/23).
