Champions League Broadcasts Land Top Ratings On Germany's Sky, Spain's La 1

German pay-TV channel Sky "has recorded top ratings for its Champions League games broadcasts," according to Timo Nöthling of QUOTENMETER. A total of 1.17 million viewers tuned in to watch Sky's simulcast of Tuesday's Champions League games or one of its eight individual game feeds. Sky's broadcast obtained a market share of 4.2%. In the target demographic 14-49, Sky had a 5.5% market share. The pay-TV operator's simulcast of all games with German commentary was watched by 570,000 viewers, while 180,000 viewers tuned in to watch the simulcast with int'l commentary. The game between Dortmund and Arsenal attracted 300,000 viewers, while Schalke's game against Chelsea attracted 140,000 viewers (QUOTENMETER, 10/23).

IN SPAIN: The EP reported Barcelona's Champions League match against AC Milan on Spanish broadcaster TVE's La 1, which ended in a 1-1 tie, attracted 6.3 million viewers and obtained a market share of 32.6% (EP, 10/23).
