Australia bowling coach CRAIG MCDERMOTT, who "rejuvenated Australia's pace attack before resigning" last year, will return to the role for the test team in "a major boost for the hosts ahead of the Ashes series against England" (REUTERS, 10/17). ... Australian VERNON REID was named the new CEO of Hong Kong Rugby Football Union. Hong Kong Rugby President TREVOR GREGORY said that it "opted for experience" in appointing the 64-year-old Reid, a former CEO of the Western Force Super 15 franchise and the Western Australia Rugby Union. Gregory has been appointed for a three-year term and will assume his duties in late November (SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST, 10/17). ... Levy Restaurants, the sports and leisure division of Compass Group U.K. and Ireland, appointed ANNA FENTEN as head of marketing. Fenten will be responsible for overseeing Levy Restaurants' brand messaging, harnessing its reputation and building and implementing the overall marketing strategy as the company continues to expand (Levy Restaurants).
