Great Britain's 2016 Olympic Team To Set Up Camp In Belo Horizonte, Brazil

The British Olympic Association announced that Great Britain's '16 Olympians "will complete their preparations for the Games in the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte," according to the PA. BOA Chair Sebastian Coe "has signed an official memorandum of understanding with city officials which confirms Team GB athletes will train, prepare and acclimatise in the city in the final runup to competition." Belo Horizonte is situated in the center of the country, an hour's flight from Rio, "and is also preparing to host six matches in next year's football World Cup." Team GB's official training base "will be the multi-purpose Minas Tenis Clube" (PA, 10/16).
