Media Notes: Euroleague Basketball, Fox Int'l Channels Announce Four-Year Deal

Euroleague Basketball and Fox Int'l Channels announced a four-year broadcasting agreement that will bring the Turkish Airlines Euroleague to basketball fans throughout Europe and Africa. The deal provides the network with exclusive rights to broadcast live games and highlights on FIC channels in different European markets, as well as non-exclusive rights in Sub-Saharan Africa (Euroleague). ... The Bathurst 1000 provided big audiences to Australian network Seven on Sunday, "with three programs derived from its marathon coverage of the marquee V8 endurance race ranking in the top 10 programs." The race "was the fourth most-watched program, with an average audience of 1.263 million." The one-day int'l between Australia and India "was the top-rating pay-TV program on Fox Sports 3 with 91,000 viewers," narrowly ahead of the A-League Adelaide vs. Perth A-League match on Fox Sports 1 (88,000) (THE AUSTRALIAN, 10/14). ... PPTV and The Scottish Professional Football League, in partnership with MP & Silva, co-announced a broadcast partnership to showcase the Scottish Premiership in China for the first time, covering the '13-14 season. By signing the agreement, PPTV gets exclusive broadcast rights for more than 55 SPFL matches across all media platforms (PPTV).
