ARD, Sky Score Satisfying Ratings With Broadcast Of Bayern Munich DFB-Pokal Match

German public broadcaster ARD "has recorded satisfying ratings for its broadcast of the first round DFB Pokal (German Cup) match between BSV SW Rehden and Bayern Munich," according to Manuel Nunez Sanchez of QUOTENMETER. An average of 5.17 million viewers tuned in to watch the game, which started at 8:30pm local time on Monday. The number translated into a 20.1% market share. In the target demographic 14-49, Bayern's 5-0 victory attracted 1.46 million viewers and had a 15.5% market share. The 15-minute pregame show was watched by 3.99 million viewers and obtained market shares of 17.7% and 13.4%, respectively. German pay-TV channel Sky, which also aired the game, attracted 260,000 viewers to its broadcast. The number equaled a 1% market share. In the target demographic, the match was watched by 130,000 viewers and had a 1.4% share (QUOTENMETER, 8/6).

TELEMUNDO: Telemundo Media's weekend sports show "Titulares Telemundo" delivered the highest ratings for a sports news commentary program in Spanish-language TV in the month of July, averaging 474,000 viewers, according to Nielsen. "Titulares Telemundo" capped off July with the highest-rated show in its history on Sunday, July 28, ranking as the No. 1 Hispanic sports news commentary show with 1.06 million total viewers, and outperforming "Republica Deportiva" and "Contacto Deportivo" combined (Telemundo).
