Bundesliga's Bayern Munich Unveils Plan To Open First Office In China

Bundesliga club Bayern Munich "is taking another step to become a global player and will open its first office in China," according to the DPA. The club "is exploring new avenues in its attempt to increase revenue from the Asian market." Bayern board member Jörg Wacker said, "I've made the experience in my past that if you want to establish yourself in a market you have to be there." Wacker added the goal of the office is "to closer connect with the people in order to learn about the culture." Other "details such as the location of the office remain unkown for the moment" (DPA, 8/1).
