The Indian Hockey Federation named K.D. SINGH as its new president on Monday after incumbent DINESH REDDY "expressed his inability to continue." Reddy, the director general of police in Andhra Pradesh, "cited work pressure and hectic schedule as the reason for resigning" (THE HINDU, 7/29). ... Edinburgh Rugby "has unveiled" former South Africa No.2 ALAN SOLOMONS "as the club’s new head coach." Solomons will be assisted by former Edinburgh hooker and Scotland int'l STEVIE SCOTT, and takes charge on Aug. 9 (SCOTSMAN, 7/30).
