Football Notes: Match-Fixing Suspected Following Chinese Super League Match

Media and football fans in China "have raised new suspicions of match-fixing on Monday," following a Chinese Super League game in which Tianjin Teda defeated Liaoning Whowin 3-1 on Sunday (GLOBAL TIMES, 7/16). ... La Liga side Rayo Vallecano, which has appealed to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) to receive its UEFA license that would allow it to compete in the next Europa League, announced on its official Twitter account that it will be informed of the decision on July 30. The club will make its case at 9:30am local time at the TAS headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland on July 30 (EFE, 7/16).
