German Touring Car Championship To Return To France After Five Years In 2014

The German Touring Car Championship (DTM) "is reportedly close to returning to France in '14," according to Dominik Sharaf of MOTORSPORT TOTAL. While the DTM "is busy working to put on races in China and the Gulf region, its presence in Europe could be increased in the upcomming season." French newspaper Le Bien Public reported that ITR, the DTM's rights holder, "has reached an agreement with the management of the Circuit de Dijon-Prenois to bring back DTM in '14 after a five-year hiatus." Circuit President Yannick Morizot, who recently poured more than €4M ($5.3M) into the modernization of the course, said, "Everything should be done within the next 10 days. There are only little differences remaining" (MOTORSPORT TOTAL, 7/16).
