Media Notes: Red Card To Launch Sports Radio Channel In Singapore

London-based Internet sports radio station talkSPORT "has entered into a partnership with sports marketing agency Red Card to launch Red Card Sports Radio next month." Available on multiple platforms, including desktops, tablets and smartphone for iOS and Android users, the launch of the radio station "will allow fans to hear talkSPORT's official Barclays Premier League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup radio commentary for the next three seasons" (CAMPAIGN ASIA-PACIFIC, 7/9). ... German free-to-air TV channel Sport1 "will live broadcast 16 hours from the German MotoGP Grand Prix weekend." The German Grand Prix "will take place at the Sachsenring from Friday until Sunday." The network "will also provide a free-of-charge multi-screen player on its website Sport1.de" (MOTORSPORT TOTAL, 7/9). ... Fox Sports on Monday confirmed live TV coverage of next month's World Club 7s rugby at Twickenham after acquiring the rights from Premiership Rugby. The tournament, which is scheduled for Aug. 17-18, is set to expand further in '14 and '15 as 7s Rugby heads toward its debut at the Rio Olympics in '16, and it will include the strongest club and provincial teams in the world qualifying through domestic 7s championships (Premiership Rugby).
