Bernie Ecclestone Admits He Wouldn't Like Jail As He Awaits Possible Corruption Charges

F1 CEO BERNIE ECCLESTONE "has put a sanguine face on the prospect of being sent to a German prison," according to David Sanderson of the LONDON TIMES. Ecclestone is "waiting to hear if the German authorities will charge him in a corruption case" that has already seen a banker jailed for eight-and-a-half years. Ecclestone said he would “defend our position in court.” Ecclestone: “I am not guilty of anything except being got at. But if I get sent to jail, I will have to deal with it.” Ecclestone said that he "was under no illusions about life in a German prison cell." Ecclestone: “I don’t think I will like it very much. But you have to get on with things” (LONDON TIMES, 6/25).
