Monterrey, Mexico Stadium Engineer Says Civil Work Is 95% Complete
One year from the scheduled completion of Liga MX side Monterrey's Monterrey Football Stadium in Monterrey, Mexico, the stadium's overall progress is 45% complete, according to LA AFICION. Engineer Alfredo Maldonado, the project's boss, said the "civil, or black, work" is 95% complete, although it has advanced on different fronts. Maldonado said that in the locker room and suites area, "installation of drainage systems and air conditioning has begun. Maldonado: "For one significant aspect we continue advancing and for the other, we open new challenges because for the stands, we are already assembling the metal structure. In the black work we are around 95%. We are on the verge of finishing the drafts of the columns" (LA AFICION, 6/15).
