Int'l Power Boating Union President RAFFAELE CHIULLI was elected president of the Association of IOC Recognized Int'l Sports Federations on Monday. ARISF "includes seven of the eight sports seeking a spot in the 2020 Olympics" (AP, 5/27).

COACHES: Barcelona's Alevin C coach ALEX GÓMEZ COMES is the new coach of Hong Kong First Division side Kitchee. Comes has experience with Barcelona and other Spanish clubs, including his current position as head coach of the club's youth organization (SPORT, 5/28). ... Former Chelsea coach RAFAEL BENÍTEZ "has been confirmed as the new manager" of Serie A club Napoli by club President AURELIO DE LAURENTIIS. De Laurentiis referred to Benítez as "a great man" and "a leader" after announcing that the former Chelsea interim manager would replace WALTER MAZZARRI at the Stadio San Paolo (PA, 5/27). ... Ligue 1 club AC Ajaccio coach ALBERT EMON is leaving his job "after refusing to renew his contract" (EUROSPORT, 5/28). ... Former UAE Football League Club Al Dhafra Manager LAURENT BANIDE was officially introduced as Al Wasl's new manager on Tuesday "after he signed a two-year deal with the club." Banide becomes Wasl's sixth manager in 10 months, replacing outgoing EID BAROOT, "the Emirati who in February joined the club on an interim basis" (THE NATIONAL, 5/28).
