Olympic Notes: JWF President Fukuda Says Wrestling Can Do No More For 2020

Japan Wrestling Federation President Tomiaki Fukuda said Monday that wrestling "has done everything it can to try to stay on the Olympic program" beyond '16. Fukuda said, "As FILA, we've exhausted all our options. We'll just have to see how the IOC feels about it" (KYODO, 5/20). ... A new "Mario And Sonic At The Winter Olympics" game has been announced for Wii U. The game is based on the forthcomming 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics (Nintendo).
