Court Denies Appeal By Former Nürburgring Tenant, Secures German F1 Grand Prix
The Regional Court of Appeal in Koblenz, Germany decided that the Nürburgring Operating Corp. (NBG) "is allowed to provide the racetrack to F1 CEO Bernie Ecclestone," according to Norman Fischer of MOTORSPORT TOTAL. An appeal by former racetrack tenant Nürburgring Automotive GmbH "to receive a temporary injunction was denied by the court." Administrator spokesperson Pietro Nuvoloni said, "With that [decision] there is now nothing in the way of Formula 1." The German F1 Grand Prix will take place on July 7 (MOTORSPORT TOTAL, 5/3).
