Facilities Notes: Cardiff City Opens $1.5M Training Center Supported By Grant

League Championship club Cardiff City has become the "first non-Premier League club to benefit from the Premier League Community Facility Fund." The PLCCF opened "the House of Sport II, a new home for community sport, Cardiff City FC Community & Education Foundation" and its programs. The £1M ($1.53M) training center was "supported" with a £350,000 ($535,990) capital grant from the PLCFF (EPL). ... Event infrastructure specialist Arena Group has acquired the U.S.-based Karl's Event Services. The acquisition of the $40M revenue company "extends the Arena Group's global network beyond its existing bases in the U.K., mainland Europe, UAE and Far East territories" (Sports Investment Partners).
