Brasileiro club Flamengo has sacked coach DORIVAL JUNIOR "after he refused to accept a wage cut." In a statement, the club said, "After two months of negotiations aimed at reforming the terms of the contract signed last year, Flamengo and coach Dorival Junior did not reach an agreement which was satisfactory to both parties, despite progressing in the talks" (SUNDAY TIMES, 3/17). ... The Malaysian Gymnastics Federation named A. RAZAK MAT AMIN president, replacing DATUK DR. ZAKARIA AHMAD. Former gymnast KAU GIT KAUR was named deputy president "while the three vice president posts were won by," DATUK TAN GIN SOON, AZMI HASSAN and PETRINA LOW LAI HUN (THE STAR, 3/17).
