Champions League Scores 'Satisfying' Ratings For ZDF; Season Best For Canal+

German public broadcaster ZDF "obtained satisfying ratings with its broadcast of Wednesday's Champions League game between Paris St. Germain and FC Valencia," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTEN METER. A average of 3.45 million viewers tuned in to watch the 1-1 draw, which resulted in PSG advancing to the quarterfinals. The number equaled a 12.2% market share. In the target demographic 14-49, the game, which started at 8:45pm German time, attracted 1.07 million viewers or a 9.7% share (QUOTEN METER, 3/7).

FRANCE: Pay-TV channel Canal+'s broadcast of the game brought in 1.855 million viewers and a 7% market share. The numbers "are the best of the season" for the Champions League (LE PARISIEN, 3/7).
