Sky Receives Top Ratings For Broadcast Of Bayern-Arsenal Champions League Game

German pay-TV channel Sky "received top ratings for its broadcast of the Champions League game between Bayern Munich and Arsenal" on Tuesday night, according to Manuel Weis of QUOTEN METER. The game, which started at 8:45pm German time, attracted 1.17 million viewers. The number equaled a 3.9% market share. In the target age demographic 14-49, Bayern's 3-1 victory was watched by 600,000 viewers and recorded a 5.2% market share. Ahead of the game, Sky Sport News HD's "Inside Report," which aired at 7pm, showed an exclusive interview with German international and Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski and reported on the financial trouble of the Nürburgring racetrack. An average of 20,000 viewers tuned in to the show, and because of the quantity of viewers in the target demographic, the channel received a 0.3% share in that category (QUOTEN METER, 2/20).
