The National Olympic Committee of Cambodia General Secretary VATH CHAMROEUN has been appointed as president of a new Athletics Committee formed by the NOCC. The new committee is "aimed at helping to best represent the interests of Cambodian athletes and funding future events." Swimmer KET SIVAN, has been named deputy, and wrestler CHOV SOTHEARA "will act as secretary" (PHNOM PENH POST, 2/13). ... Spanish Olympic Committee (COE) President ALEJANDRO BLANCO was re-elected for a third term on Wednesday. Blanco received 153 of a possible 167 votes. The other 14 were left blank (MARCA, 2/13). ... The NHL Columbus Blue Jackets hired Finnish club Jokerit President & GM JARMO KEKÄLÄINEN as their GM, replacing SCOTT HOWSON. The move makes Kekäläinen "the first European to hold that position" in the NHL (BLOOMBERG, 2/13).
