Event Notes: England To Host 2013 European Beach Tennis Championships

England is set to host its first European Beach Tennis Championships this summer. The English south coast town of Brighton has been chosen by the Lawn Tennis Association, Tennis Europe and the Int'l Tennis Federation to stage the event on Aug. 9-11 (ITF). ...The Singha All Thailand Tour "has increased its total prize money" to 30M baht ($1M), up from the golf tournament's 20M baht on offer last year. There will be 10 tournaments this season, with four -- up from two last year -- "also sanctioned by the Asean PGA Tour" (BANGKOK POST, 2/13).
