Former cricketer and India captain ANIL KUMBLE "will join the Mumbai Indians franchise as its chief mentor, replacing former South African all-rounder SHAUN POLLOCK" (TIMES OF INDIA, 1/21). ... The FA has "appointed ANDREW CREAN from the Jockey Club as the new group financial director." Crean "had spent the previous decade overseeing the finances of sports catering giants Compass." Crean "is replacing MARK DONNELLY, who is leaving  the relative security of his FA post at Wembley to join the Premier League’s basement club Queen’s Park Rangers" (London DAILY MAIL, 1/21).
