Cycling Australia Announces Jayco As Team's Naming-Rights Sponsor

Cycling Australia announced that Jayco has re-signed as CA’s national teams’ naming-rights sponsor, with a significant level of investment secured for the sport over the next four years, representing a multimillion dollar deal over an eight year period. Australia National Performance Dir. Kevin Tabotta said, "Jayco are a dream sponsor for Australian sport. [Jayco Founder & Orica-GreenEDGE team Owner] Gerry Ryan is genuinely passionate about being part of the success of Cycling Australia’s high performance athletes teams and programs" (CA).

RYAN DEFENDS CYCLING: In Sydney, Samantha Lane reported Ryan said the sport "does more than most to eradicate doping." Ryan said that his professional road team spent €200,000 ($264,900) on anti-doping programs in its debut season on the World Tour circuit this year. Ryan: ''I think if you look at the past six years the sport and the programs they have implemented, with the [biological] passport system, is probably one of the cleanest sports, or most tested sports, in the world'' (SYDNEY MORNING HERALD, 12/20).
