Brasileiro Clubs Santos, Vasco, Grêmio Working On Sponsorship Deals

Brasileiro club Santos is "up against time" to figure out which sponsors will be on the team's jersey next season, according to Milton Pazzi Jr. of FOLHA DE S. PAULO. The club's current five sponsors -- Seara, Banco BMG, Netshoes, Marabraz and CSU -- all have deals that expire on Dec. 31. So far "none of the contracts have been renewed." Rouxinol said the Japanese company "wants" to invest in football and considers the Vasco brand "important." Rouxinol said, "The negotiation with Nissan is very much advanced. They are opening a new factory in Brazil and have interest in Vasco" (IG, 12/4)
