Sky Sets A New Season Ratings Record With Its Broadcast Of Saturday's Top Game

German pay-TV channel Sky "has set a new season-ratings record with its broadcast of Saturday's Bundesliga game of the week," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTEN METER. A total of 1.28 million viewers tuned in to watch the 1-1 tie between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, which is 40,000 more viewers than Sky's previous season best. The number translates into a market share of 5.3%. In the target demographic 14-49, Sky obtained a very strong 8.7% share (QUOTEN METER, 12/2).

LIVE HOOPS: QUOTEN METER's David Grzeschik reported German pay-TV channel Sport1+ "has acquired an extensive NBA rights package and will live broadcast two games per week." In addition, Sport1+ "will also air a weekly magazine show called NBA Action" (QUOTEN METER, 12/1).
