Adidas Turns Down French Olympic Committee Proposal; Will Not Supply Kit For Rio Games

Adidas has opted to "not answer the new offer" from the French National Olympic Committe (CNOSF) for the 2016 Olympics, according to L'EQUIPE. The offer from the CNOSF did not include Olympics "competition clothing" and was thus turned down by adidas. The sportswear company had been the official Olympics kit supplier of the CNOSF for 36 years. Adidas will continue to be the supplier of certain French athletes and federations outside of the Games. Each French sports federation will have to work out its own individual deals with kit providers for the Rio de Janeiro Games. (L'EQUIPE, 11/28).
