Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee named SIDNEY LEVY as the organization CEO and LEONARDO GRYNER the COO in an internal rewstructuring ... World Cup-winning New Zealand national cricket team player KATRINA KEENAN has been appointed as the team's coach. Keenan "has previously been assistant coach of the White Ferns and has also spent four years in Japan coaching the national women's team" (APNZ, 11/12). ... Basketball Bundesliga club BBC Bayreuth "appointed MARKO BEENS as its managing director starting Jan. 1." The 42-year-old will succeed MANFRED SCHÖTTNER, "who will step down from the position on his own request" (BBC Bayreuth). ... Int'l Korfball Federation President JAN FRANSOO has informed the membership of the Association of IOC Recognized Int'l Sports Federations (ARISF) that he will not run for a third term as president when his current term expires in May. He will have served on the ARISF Council for 12 years, including eight years as president (IKF). ... The Int'l Sailing Federation (ISAF) has announced the new members of the ISAF Council. Italian CARLO CROCE was appointed president and chairman. The elected vice presidents are: GEORGE ANDREADIS (Greece), CHRIS ATKINS (Great Britain), ADRIENNE GREENWOOD (New Zealand), NAZLI IMRE (Turkey), GARY JOBSON (U.S.), QUANHAI LI (China) and SCOTT PERRY (Uruguay) (ISAF).
