Deutsche Telekom, Sky Close To An Agreement For Bundesliga Rights

German telecom company Deutsche Telekom "has been in negotiations about live Bundesliga rights with rights holder Sky for several months, and Telekom's distributing power could be the decisive factor to reach an agreement," according to REUTERS. A cooperation with Deutsche Telekom could be very beneficial for Sky. Telekom CEO Rene Obermann said that "Telekom's nationwide distribution staff could be interesting for Sky." He added, "Then Sky will soon have more than its current 3 million customers." Obermann also said that "if the News Corp. subsidiary would move a little, an agreement could happen soon" (REUTERS, 10/24).
