Hearts Hit With Two-Month Transfer Embargo Over Wages Delay

Scottish Premier League club Hearts FC was "hit with a 60-day transfer ban" by the SPL after failing to pay six players and Manager John McGlynn on time this month, according to the SCOTSMAN. The decision was taken "following a meeting of an SPL board sub-committee after the Tynecastle club admitted to late payments for coaching staff and players for a second consecutive month." Although "outstanding wages from October have now been paid," Hearts have been hit with a transfer embargo until Dec. 23 (SCOTSMAN, 10/24).
