Media Notes: ESPN Star Sports Launches FOX Football Channel In Malaysia

ESPN Star Sports has confirmed the launch of its first 24/7 football TV channel "FOX Football Channel" in Malaysia, featuring more than 500 league matches from a mix of top football leagues around the world. The channel makes its debut in Malaysia through Telekom Malaysia's first IPTV service HyppTV (ESPN Star Sports). ... Modern Times Group has acquired all of the remaining shares in the Danish 50/50 joint venture company TV 2 Sport A/S (TV 2 Sport) from TV 2 DANMARK. The payment will comprise an "undisclosed cash consideration and the transfer of the exclusive Danish broadcasting rights to the European Handball Championships" for '16 and '18 (ADVANCED-TELEVISION.com, 10/9).
